60 degrees! wowza!
Why does the weather play mind games? I should know, right?? I am the weather weenie after all. Well cant tell ya. All i know is we had a really neat 2011 weather year and im starting to get used to all this warm winter weather. Bulky coats - im done with you…unless theres a really aweosme freak coastal storm that drops like 24 inches, i can accept that!

weekend in a nutshell
Yoga, KOP mall, visit to one of my absolute fav home stores in D-town Philly - West Elm, (new bedding and bedroom decor for us- yippee! - pics later), legos, and homemade hot cocoa. Yum! How was your weekend?

mustard anyone?
Husband and i went out tonight, for a friends 30th birthday. Ya know when your little and you always wish to be the bigger older one…and you hate that your birthday doenst come soon enough? Glad im the young one now suckers! No i kid i kid, i am actually turning the big 3-0 this year, but not till fall, my time comes soon enough. Until then i enjoy being in my 20's still, woohoo!!!
ANYWAYS i got this idea in my head that for tonight, bowling with some friends, i wanted to do something other then jeans. I couldnt bear another day in jeans, and well lets face it bowling usually results in jeans, its an easy go to for this kind of sport. I ventured out a bit, and this is what i came up with.

Im thinkin of changing the ol' blog a bit. Maybe streamline and consolidate to make it easier to post and easier to read. Thinkin…all outfit posts to be posted here under the main roll??
And guess who finally gave in and got photoshop….any guesses?? ME!!! WEEEEOOOO! So stinkin excited. I feel as though my journey of photography-dome has started to take a nice little turn. Now the hard part, learning all its functions! And when i do, i plan to post all the outfits ive done so far in one big post and be once and done with the seperate tab of outfits. Think itll pretty my little bloggy bog a bit. Keep it all organized….I love organization…
And i digress...

Other fun news, the boys have been doing some major playing thier new playroom. We moved them into a bedroom together, and turned the other bedroom into a playroom. It was a bit hard at first, but they seem to be doing a bit better. Naps are still a little hard. Heres a rundown of his craziness:
1. Disassembled the lamp - including taking the bulb out of the socket while it was turned on.
2. Scattering the room with diapers.
3. Yanking down clothes in his closet.
He is super cute. I will tell you that much.
Oh and dont mind my mommy look today - hair thrown (literally thrown - i dont kid, as you can see) so as to not be late AGAIN to drop Porter off at preschool. It happens almost everytime. I love my morning sleep.

colored denim
It seems to be all the rage in the upcoming season. JCrew has it in their latest line. In that second picture theres also polka dot denim. I am on the fence about it really. Part of me really wants to try it, just for the sake of changing the ol' blue/black denim look, which by the way i seem to wear way to much lately.
The polka dot ones seem kinda neat? Any thoughts or pictures of how to pull this off?

its a little late, here's a christmas recap
santa train
Back in December we took the West Chester Railroad train for a ride to see Santa. The boys absolutly loved it. Although Blake wouldn't sit on Santas lap , not because he was scared but because he had to have food in his hand, then he was good. Porter told Santa he wanted his "sparkley's" - which i think meant he wanted to be able to fly reindeer. We rode on the train, a real train, Porter puts it as compared to his so called fake trains, which happen to be the Thomas ones. (with faces i guess!) We had hot chocolate, Yum! and a good time was had by all!

homemade hand scrub
Its what i gave Porters preschool teachers as a thank you Christmas present. Made by of course mush, and my niece, K. Thanks K for your help :) Its a little modification from a recipe i found online. Ah the vast glory of online surfng. Its what gave me the idea to begin with. I love the fact that not only was the scrub we made them handmade, but so was the wine we put in it. I just so happen to make my own wine, all kinds, from juice already made to the grapes i picked right off the vine. Vino, its fantastic.
So heres the rundown of what was in the scrub:
Winter Wine Hand Scrub
sugar
brown Sugar
wine
organic honey
very small amount of all natural soap
vegetable shortning
vitamen E (found at any grocery storein the organic section)
spices - including cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg
christmas time and my little guy turned 5
December 29th to be exact. And he certainly seems like a bigger boy, yet he is still super cuddly.
Here's a recap. Birthday cupcakes at nana and papa's house, birthday cupcakes at grandma and grandpa's house, race car party in a few weeks. He is beyond excited about it too! We invited his preschool class-who at this age he seems much more in tuned to who is coming vs who isn't. Party post is a must and will follow the party.
On another note…..We went to Longwood Gardens. Its a super awesome huge indoor garden with outdoor light displays around the holiday season. Very cool place.
