cart movers
I enlisted my trusty side-kick again this week. I absolutely love that Porter grasps the whole be nice attitude without even asking why. It shows a lot about his character as a person that he needs not know why we should be nice or even go out of our way sometimes like in this weeks RAOK.
So many of my random acts have come down to something paid, well i really like the idea that even if you can't just drop a little bit of money (which these days most can't spare much), its even more awesome to take those extra seconds to think of others and just plain help. I mean on a daily basis most people do those little acts. Like holding doors and elevators, or letting someone with only a couple items at the grocery store go ahead. These things are almost like using manners for most people. Second nature.
But, then theres those kinds of acts, that most people (including myself!) don't do. For me, I have 2 little guys, and with the 2 year old short patience guy, its a no go for most out of the way RAOK on a daily basis, unless thats all i plan to do, in which case it still has to be short.
This weeks kindness act was one of those kinds that i took Porter with me and thats all we did. No shopping. No little brother. No daddy even. Just us.

Week 14 - Carts
Porter and I asked people who were unloading their groceries if we could put their carts away for them so they didn't have to. It was an 85 degree rather warm day - and everyone really expressed their appreciation for our kindness.
After we were done, Porter asked if we could go to another store and do it again. I love that kid.
